Scholarship Benefits

500 scholars are been awarded yearly by MTN. The scholars will receive the sum of N200,000 yearly. The funds covers the tuition fee, accommodation and book allowance. It can be renewed if the beneficiary maintains a CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent.

Scholarship Eligibility

  1. Applicants must be in their 200 level at the time of applying for the scholarship. Students who applied for direct entry into the university are also eligible, students who aren’t in their second year wouldn’t be considered.
  2. The applicant must be a full-time student, part-time students aren’t eligible for the scholarship.
  3. Applicants who are in the university and college of education must attain a minimum of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or its equivalent which is 2.1. Applicants from the polytechnic must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA and must have a confirmation/evidence of admission for direct entry or HNDwhile applying for the scholarship.
  4. Students who are already beneficiaries of the scholarship aren’t eligible for new applications.

Their is a limitation attached to the scholarship programme which is, not all courses are eligible for the scholarship which has deprived quite a number of students from taking part in the program.

  1. A means of identification (international passport, drivers license, National ID)
  2. A valid student ID card
  3. Confirmation of admission (admission letter) from JAMB and your institution of study

Country Eligibility

The MTN foundation scholarship is opened to only Nigerian students, this scholarship is opened to only students in the tertiary institution.
