The 3 Major Things to Do When You’re Discouraged About Your Finances!

1. Keep in mind you are not alone.

There are millions of other people in the world that are having financial difficulties and are in a bad situation. Even while it might seem like you are the only one in your friend group going through a difficult time, you are not.

I advise you to seek out others who you can relate to and identify with. Find a local community or online forums where you can connect with other individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties, such as Facebook groups or blogs.

By doing this, you’ll be reminded that you’re not alone and gain inspiration and helpful advice along the way.

2. Put forth your utmost effort.

It’s really simple to compare yourself to others when you observe them.

I recently discussed our cash purchase of our home. It took 15 years of battling, saving, and hard work, but perhaps you’ve been battling for the entire 15 years and feel as trapped as ever.

It’s crucial to exert your maximum effort. Not the finest that somebody else can manage. or the greatest effort you could muster ten years ago. It’s the best you can accomplish at this time, given your current stage of life.

After that, decide what that means for you in this week, today, or this hour.

3. Alter your viewpoint.

Try thinking about what you can do with what you have rather than how much you’re struggling. Be imaginative!

We had no wiggle room in our budget and our finances were SO tight when Jesse was attending law school, I recall. We might have had a few dollars more every few months.

Because it was free, we spent a lot of time at the library or park. We borrowed both movies and literature. We didn’t even have enough money to visit the thrift shop, but the library gave me the impression that I had some shopping time even though I didn’t!

We also put a lot of effort into getting the most out of our grocery budget. We occasionally have just $17 to spend on food for our household. I looked for anything free that would enable us to prepare food.

I got incredibly imaginative and made it into a game. Even if we didn’t, we managed to find free activities that gave us the illusion of breathing room.

(While we were on our honeymoon, I still recall eating PB&J sandwiches made with items from the Dollar Store! We still recall our time together and how resourceful we had to be to make it work, even on our honeymoon, even though we couldn’t afford to dine out.)

This is what I’m saying to encourage you to make the most of what you do have this season.

After 15 years, I can assure you that the effort was worthwhile. And today, I have so much perspective because to that perspective. What can I do where I am right now, I always wonder. I live my life, manage my business, and educate my children from this point of view.

Your entire outlook on life can alter by shifting your perspective. Giving up should never be an option for you, move forward.!
